Coffee and beer have an amazing symbiotic relationship. Beer likely wouldn’t happen without the coffee that wakes the brewers up, and coffee makes so many beers better, as anyone who has attended Hopwired can attest. Tonight’s event offers attendees of the sold out event a chance to appreciate both, with Ryan Malcolm of the Victoria Beer Society and Brittany Davies of Discovery Coffee leading an informative session on two of the world’s favourite brews.
For those unable to get tickets to Beer + Coffee, you can channel that sourness to the other event for the evening. Pucker Up, happening at both Garrick’s Head and The Churchill offers lovers of the tart, sour brews a chance to go all in. Over 20 beers are available between the two pubs, with some of those beers having been aged quite a while to get there. With a variety of barrel-aged and kettle sours, offering a range of fruited, hopped, or wined, the variety is amazing and should offer something for everyone.
